1. Data Collected
When you use Solver or subscribe to updates in the United States, we may collect:
- Email: your email address
- Language: the page language at the time of subscription (PT, EN, ES, FR, IT, or DE)
- IP address and device information: automatically collected by Cloudflare for security, site improvement, and abuse prevention
- Consent timestamp: record of when you accepted the terms and privacy choices
- Invitation data: when you choose to invite someone by Email or WhatsApp, we process the recipient's Email address or phone number, your display name, the invitation type, and a secure link or token
2. Purpose
Your data is used for:
- Sending updates about Solver, including news, launches, and features
- Aggregate interest analysis for new reading tools (without individual identification)
- Communication about the app launch
- Processing and tracking invitations you request through Email or WhatsApp
3. California Privacy Notice
For California residents, this notice explains the categories of personal information we collect, the business purposes for collection, and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Solver does not sell personal information and honors verified requests to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sharing.
4. Service Providers
- Resend Inc.: email processing and delivery, including invitations, and contact list management
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Cloud API): planned provider for WhatsApp invitations; the channel is disabled, and Solver does not send new invitation data to Meta while it remains disabled
- Cloudflare Inc.: website hosting, site delivery, attack protection, security, and technical usage measurement
These providers act as service providers or contractors on our behalf and may process data in the United States or other countries. International processing is subject to the safeguards and transfer mechanisms required by applicable law. You may request more information through the privacy contact below.
5. Data Retention
Your email is kept in the Resend contact list until you request removal or unsubscribe. Verified privacy requests are handled within the timeframes required by California law, typically within 45 days unless an extension is permitted.
Invitations: Solver removes recipient personal data associated with an invitation 30 days after the invitation reaches a final outcome. Resend states that sent Email data remains available for 30 days. The WhatsApp channel is disabled; while it remains disabled, Solver does not send new invitation data to Meta. Access or deletion requests may be sent to the privacy contact below.
6. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Right to Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
- Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Delete: request removal of your personal information, subject to statutory exceptions
- Right to Opt-Out: opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; Solver does not sell personal information
- Right to Limit: limit the use of sensitive personal information when applicable
- Right to Non-Discrimination: receive equal service regardless of exercising your privacy rights
