Privacy Policy

1. Data Collected

When you use Solver or subscribe to updates in the United States, we may collect:

• Email: your email address
• Language: the page language at the time of subscription (PT, EN, ES, FR, IT, or DE)
• IP address and device information: automatically collected by Cloudflare for security, site improvement, and abuse prevention
• Consent timestamp: record of when you accepted the terms and privacy choices
• Invitation data: Solver creates the invitation type and a secure link or token. The contact selected on your device is used only on that device to address the external app you choose; the Solver API does not receive that contact to dispatch the invitation
• Contact import: with your consent, the name, email address, phone number, organization, and on-device identifier of contacts you select are sent to Solver servers to match existing accounts. This processing is separate from invitation delivery

2. Purpose

Your data is used for:

• Sending updates about Solver, including news, launches, and features
• Aggregate interest analysis for new reading tools (without individual identification)
• Communication about the app launch
• Creating and tracking the invitation link that you choose to share through an external app
• Matching the contacts you choose to import with existing Solver accounts and helping you decide whom to share a link with

3. California Privacy Notice

For California residents, this notice explains the categories of personal information we collect, the business purposes for collection, and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Solver does not sell personal information and honors verified requests to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sharing.

4. Providers and External Sharing

• Resend Inc.: processing and delivery of newsletters and operational emails; under the current link-only invitation contract, it does not receive new invitation recipient data
• External apps: when you choose WhatsApp, email, or SMS, Solver opens the corresponding external composer. Solver does not dispatch invitations through the WhatsApp Cloud API from Meta Platforms, Inc.
• Cloudflare Inc.: website hosting, site delivery, attack protection, security, and technical usage measurement

These providers act as service providers or contractors on our behalf and may process data in the United States or other countries. International processing is subject to the safeguards and transfer mechanisms required by applicable law. You may request more information through the privacy contact below.

5. Data Retention

Your email is kept in the Resend contact list until you request removal or unsubscribe. Verified privacy requests are handled within the timeframes required by California law, typically within 45 days unless an extension is permitted.

Invitations: under the current link-only contract, the Solver API does not receive or store the recipient's email address or phone number for dispatch. Historical direct-invitation data, if any, is removed 30 days after the final outcome. Resend states that historical sent-email data may remain available for 30 days; no new invitation recipient data is sent to the provider. Access or deletion requests may be sent to the privacy contact below.

Imported contacts: personal data selected for contact import is scheduled for deletion within 24 hours and is also removed when a verified deletion request is fulfilled.

6. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Right to Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
• Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Right to Delete: request removal of your personal information, subject to statutory exceptions
• Right to Opt-Out: opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; Solver does not sell personal information
• Right to Limit: limit the use of sensitive personal information when applicable
• Right to Non-Discrimination: receive equal service regardless of exercising your privacy rights

7. Minors

Reading remains available to minors. Once the country is confirmed, the policy that applies there determines the requirements for social features. These features are available only when the requirements are met and remain unavailable while the country is unconfirmed. Linking a parent or guardian does not unlock social features. The accounts remain separate, with neither person able to access the other person's data.
